The Japanese oil company INPEX and the Russian state corporation Rosneft will hold joint development of an oil deposit in the Okhotsk Sea. Cooperation between Russia and Japan has been performed for the first time after 18-year pause. The Japanese side regards broadening of raw oil suppliers number as a large heel to the Middle Eastern suppliers. Enlargement of the share of supplies from Russia can simplify negotiations about prices with other oil states.
