Gas contract ratification bill to be submitted to the State Duma

A bill on ratification of an agreement between the Governments of Russia and China on cooperation in the field of natural gas supply to China via the “eastern route” was submitted to the State Duma, runs the statement.

“The agreement was concluded to strengthen Russian-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector and defines the basic conditions for cooperation in Russian gas supply to China via the so-called eastern route.  It includes the terms of design, construction and operation of the cross-border pipeline sector,” the government said.
