Lukoil starts industrial production of oil in Iraq

The company will be able to start to get payback on its investments from June, 26th.

Lukoil has started industrial production of oil at the Western Qurna-2 field in Iraq, the company reports.

The Vice Prime Minister of Iraq Hussein al-Shahristani, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Arkady Dvorkovich, Lukoil’s president, Vagit Alekperov, members of the Iraqi Government,the leadership of the Basra province and representatives of the main contractors took part in the solemn ceremony of the start of production.
