In 2013, Tajikistan increased coal production by 25%

In 2013, Tajikistan increased coal production by 25% to 518,000 tons; in 2011, coal yield was 412,000 tons. Last year coal sales were over 482,000 tons, by 58,000 tons more than in 2012. Stored coal reserves are 78,000 tons.

Coal production has increased in the state due to transition of large industrial enterprises from gas to coal. Since 2007, their number has reached over 150 enterprises. Coal production is performed by 162 enterprises now.
