EU countries offer to consider issue of Nord Stream at December summit

9 European countries, which sent a letter to Brussels on Nord Stream-2, demand to include the issue of this project implementation in the agenda of the upcoming December EU summit.

In the letter, which the Eastern European countries, which include Poland and Slovakia, sent to the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, expresses concern that the project will strengthen the Europe's dependence on Russian gas and that it is contrary to the EU energy policy.

A source at the European Commission said the FT, that the issue of the energy security could be included in the agenda of the summit.
