About hundred workers of Evraz ZSMK to be cut

The staff of the iron foundry of the West Siberian metallurgical plant in Novokuznetsk will be cut. The enterprise is outdated and has become unprofitable, the press centre of Evraz reports.

Now the issue about how to save the workshop only one involved in the production of the casting, which is necessary for the needs of the plant, is discussed. The elimination of the production will happen on July 1st, 2016, therefore about 100 people will fall under the reduction.

"The foundry, which exists in the structure of Evraz ZSMK produces, including, cast iron: insulation, pallets, rolls. In recent years, the efficiency of this production declined due to outdated production technology and high fixed costs. At the same time, the quality and price of such products on the market are attractive today.
