TatNIPIneft has worked out an ecological unit increasing oil extraction at old deposits

​Gelling agent is loaded into the layer.

To increase the current oil extraction TatNIPIneft has worked out the “RBK-M” technology. By means of its application at the late stage of development of an oil deposit, oil extraction rate increases.

The technological process is realized by means of loading of a gelling agent into the layer via injection wells. The produced in the layer conditions gel blocks more permeable water zones and that leads to redirection of water flow to the less permeable oil zones providing better oil extraction out of the interlayers.

Among the advantages of this technology is the application of new ecologically safe reagents and materials; high technological efficiency at a low cost of the technological process of loading; resistance of the used mixtures and gelling agents to the influence of mineralized waters etc.
