Kazakhstan may increase throughput capacity of pipelines to China to 20 million tons

Kazakhstan may increase the throughput capacity of pipelines to China to 20 million tons. This opinion was expressed by chairman of Kazenergy Timur Kulibayev at the press conference within the framework of Eurasian Forum KAZENERGY-2015.

"Chinese companies are one of the most active in the oil sector of Kazakhstan, they produce (on the territory of the country) more than 25% of oil, - he said. - Now a new company - China's Sinopec - came to the market, it bought Lukoil’s assets in Kazakhstan, but it is clear, that this activity is currently limited with capacity of our pipes, which makes up 12 million tons".
