The NWF will replace ExxonMobil as a partner for "Rosneft".

ExxonMobil has confirmed "the Kommersant" that it will no longer work with "Rosneft" on the Russian shelf outside of the Sakhalin project. The American company freezes its participation in the projects in the Kara and Black seas. "Rosneft", which due to Western sanctions be deprived of the financial and technological support of the key international partners, is now counting on the governmental support - the company has applied for receiving the funds from the NWF.

Due to the imposition of sanctions against Russia, ExxonMobil freezes its work in the country, the company acknowledged yesterday, confirming information of "the Kommersant" dated September 29th. "We were asked to shut off all of the activities affected by the sanctions, except for the project in the Kara Sea, by 26th September", - ExxonMobil told "Interfax". The company clarified that the permission for the project in the Kara Sea and drilling of the Universitetskaya well was obtained, "since the operations were at a crucial stage and needed time to secure the folding activity".
