Bashneft stocks could be distributed between Bashkortostan and the Russian Government

Bashneft could be renationalized. Immediately after the suit of the General Prosecutor’s Office about returning of the company’s stocks in the state property, the Public Chamber of Bashkortostan elaborated the scheme of their distribution. The controlling shareholding can be transferred to the Russian Government and the blocking shareholding can be transferred to the republic. The Public Chamber is going to make the corresponding application to the Russian President, V. Putin, the mass-media report referring to the Chairman of the Public Chamber, R. Bignov.

He claims that it plays no role what company will manage the assets but the money from the Bashkir oil sector should be transferred to the budget of Bashkortostan. The privatization and sales of its fuel and energy sector were absolutely illegal. The regional budget lost 209 billion rubles as a result. Now they are coordinating the application to the Russian President, V. Putin, and the project will be presented for voting on Tuesday.
