16 new wells are drilled at fields of Varieganneftegaz

From the beginning of the year, 16 new wells were drilled at the Verkhnekolik-Eganskoye, Bakhilovskoye and North Khokhryakovskoye fields, which belong to the second macro oil field of Varieganneftegaz, a subsidiary of Rosneft, and the total increase on them amounted to over 500 tons per day. By the end of the year, increase of the number of new wells is expected in this territory.

The company plan to have great prospects of geological and technical measures at the Bakhilovsky licensed area. "As a result of geological exploration, namely, drilling and testing of the 161st prospecting well at the Bakhilovskoye field, the growth of oil reserves made up more than 3 million tons, - chief of the geological department of the Varieganneftegaz’s second macro oil field Alexander Tenditnik. - It is planned to drill two group of wells, so in the short term, we expect increased production from this deposit".
