The Ukraine targets Mongolian minerals

The Ukraine is looking at the possibilities of the opening of enterprises for minerals production in Mongolia. The president of the Ukraine V.Yanukovich said about it at a joint press conference with the president of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorzh.

“We are more than interested to take part in the development of minerals on the territory of Mongolia with further processing there,” Yanukovich said. According to him, the question may concern coal, uranium ore production, which is a fuel for nuclear atomic power plants, the production of raw materials for mineral fertilizers. “We do not exclude the opening such enterprises on the territory of Mongolia,” the president said. He noted that the Ukraine will study the question and start active actions in the near future.

As MIGnews.com.ua stated, a meeting of the presidents of the Ukraine and Mongolia took place on June 29. The president of the Ukraine noted an interest of his country in the support of continuous cooperation with Mongolia.
