Output of rolled products in April 2016

​In April 2016 the ferrous metallurgical enterprises showed a negative dynamics by the result of the operational activity.

In April 2016 cast iron production fell from 4.8 mln tons in March to 4.3 mln tons, steel output fell by 1.7% to 5.8 mln tons, rolled products output by 3.8% to 14.6 mln ton.

The output of sort-rolled products slightly grew to 1.6 mln tons which is connected with the start of the heating season but plates and blank production for export slightly fell. Rolled products output fell even more than in April 2015, in January-April the fall was 3%.

The production of pipes in April fell to 883 thousand tons (-4.5% against March 2016). The production of welded pipes (without electric welded pipes), large diameter electric welded pipes and pumping and compressor pipes fell by more than 10%. The output of electric welded pipes (without large diameter pipes) rose by 6% to 353 thousand tons, casing pipes – by 175 to 77 thousand tons.
