Two oil deposits with reserves of 45 million tons have been discovered in Western Siberia

The Eurotech-Yugra Company has discovered the Ouryinskoye deposit with extractable hydrocarbons reserves by C1+C2 at a rate of 33 million tons of oil at the border of the Sverdlovsk region and the Yugra autonomous area. They discovered the Western-Karabash deposit with reserves by C1+C2 of 15 million tons sent to the balance.

The Ouryinskoye deposit was discovered within the work of AROG, the joint venture of Repsol and Alliance Oil. The Western-Karabash deposit was discovered by Siberian Geological Company CJSC owned by Zoltav. The new deposits are discovered in 2 of 3 potentially new oil and gas production centers in Western Siberia – Koltogor and Karabash. As a result of the deposits discovery, they sent to the state balance 45 million tons in oil equivalent. The Ouryinskoye deposit is the largest one discovered within the latest 2 years, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology S. Donskoy says. AFB private company discovered the Velikoye deposit in the Astrakhan region with reserves by C2 of 300 million tons of oil and 90 billion cubic m of gas, he adds. The state reserves commission set the corresponding hydrocarbon reserves to state balance.
