"Gazprom" is ready into invest in the expansion of its gas refueling infrastructure in the EU, Alexei Miller, the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Gazprom" announced today, speaking at the 17th Annual General Meeting of the European Business Congress and the conference of its participants on the "motor fuel and ecology of Europe" topic.

The head of the company stated that on Wednesday at the meeting of "Gazprom" on the implementation of the planned measures on motor fuel with the respect to the direction of this work in overseas markets, including the European Union, was discussed, ITAR-TASS informs.

"In general, the automotive industry and the gas industry can no doubt be our natural allies in the increased use of natural gas in the transport sector, and "Gazprom" is co-operating closely with the key players in the industry - he stated. - It's not only the Russian producers but the well-known foreign companies, such as "Volkswagen", "Mercedes", "Fiat", "Opel" and many others. Moreover, they offer an increasing number of car models that use natural gas as fuel. And we plan to significantly expand our fueling infrastructure both in Russia, and in the European Union".
