Two oil refineries in Baku to be united

The Austrian EDL/Porner prepares a feasibility study of the transfer project of two units (CDU/VDU-2; bitumen production unit) from the oil processing plant Azerneftyag to the Baku oil refinery named after G.Aliev.

As T.Gahramanov said earlier the company is getting prepared for a long-term programme to ensure the stable operations of the current oil processing and petrochemical capacities. “So, they are about to carry out operation on the reconstruction and stabilizing, in order they could operate over the next 10-12 years until the launch of new oil processing capacities in 2023,” he said. Speaking about Azerneftyaq, Gahramanov said they were about to demount it during the next 2 years. The necessary units will be transferred to the oil processing plant named after G.Aliev.
