Gazprom signs a memorandum on the construction of the "South Stream" segment in Austria.

Alexey Miller, the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Gazprom", and Gerhard Reuss, CEO OMV, in Moscow signed a memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the "South Stream" project in Austria, the press service of the Russian company reported.

The memorandum reflects the intention of the parties to build the Austrian section of the "South Stream" pipeline with a capacity of up to 32 billion cubic meters per year and the terminal point in Baumgarten. The pipeline will run from the Bulgarian Black Sea coast through Serbia and Hungary to Austria.
