Gazprom to sign a contract on gas supply with CNPC in May

There was held a working meeting of the chairman of the Board of Management of “Gazprom” A.Miller and the chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC, Zhou Jiping in Moscow.

The parties have discussed the process of the contract on Russian pipeline gas supply to China via the “eastern” route. The operation has almost finished. Gazprom and CNPC are ready to sign the contract in May, as it was scheduled.

A.Miller and Zh.Jiping emphasized that the supply of gas via the “eastern” route has a significant meaning for both countries. For Russia it is a new developing gas supply market, while for China it is a powerful instrument for the development of the economy and the improvement of the ecology
