Sayanogorsk aluminium plant increased alloy production by 10% in Jan-March

The Sayanogorsk aluminium plant, a part of UC RusAl, produced 90.8 thousand tons of alloys in Q1, 2013. It is by 8 thousand tons more than a year ago, the press-service of the company reports.

The basic tendency in an aluminium sector this year is an excessive production of aluminium. The world market can not consume the metal produced in the current volume. Stock reserves go up, their price decreases from $2200 last year to $1850 per a ton this year. The plant reduced the rate of consumption of alumina, aluminium fluoride and baked anodes, necessary for a production of 1 ton of aluminium.
