Uranium from Australia to be shipped to the Ukrainian nuclear power plants

​The Ukraine and Australia will sign an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of nuclear energy at the Summit on nuclear safety in Washington.

I will sign an agreement with the Ukraine presupposing uranium supply for the nuclear power industry, the head of Australian foreign policy agency, J. Bishop, said.

The Minister also said that Australia has similar agreements with other countries, including Canada, China, France, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, the UK and the USA.

She said that Australia is the first in the Nuclear Threat Initiative review.
