Oil pumping tariff by Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline to rise by 31%

​The tariff for oil pumping by the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline might rise by 149.95 roubles (31%) to 634.54 roubles per ton (VAT excluded), the Federal Tariff Service reports. The respective draft order is published at regulation.gov.ru.

The tariff is denominated in roubles for the route from the border of Azerbaijan to the transshipment complex Sheskharis (Novorossiysk). From Jan 1st it amounts to 484.59 roubles.

Azerbaijan pumps its oil by the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline from 1997. In 2014 SOCAR dispatched 932,155 tons of oil from the port of Novorossiysk. In Jan-February 2015 the shipment of SOCAR in Novorossiysk made up 254,314 tons of oil, by 49.9% more than in Jan-February 2014.

In 2014 SOCAR reduced the oil export via the port of Novorossiysk by 46.8% against 2013 to 932.155 thousand tons.

SOCAR and Transneft extended the oil pumping agreement by the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline until the end of 2015.
