Gazprom abolishes 260 tenders at the amount of 112.7 billion RUR

Gazprom abolished 260 tenders at the amount of 112.7 billion RUR. The tenders mainly concerned the repair of gas pipelines and compressor stations in 2014, Vedomosti reports with the reference to Gazprombank.

The company connects the abolishment of the tenders with the governmental instruction to reduce the purchase prices by 10% without a reduction of the physical volume of the works. However, it is said in the letter of the Director of the corporate costs department of Gazprom, Mikhail Sirotkin to the Chairman of the company Aleksei Miller that 219 companies have filed 1432 applications for 117 tenders.
