The updating of the hot-rolling mill “2000” is completed at NLMK

The Novolipetsk Iron-and-Steel works has updated the broad-strip hot rolling mill “2000”. Investments into the project made up approximately 800 million roubles, the press-service of the company states.

“The implementation of new technologies has contributed to an increase of the productivity of the mill by about 0.045 million tons a year and significantly increased the quality of the surface and mechanical properties of the rolled stock. The appliance of new materials has increased the service durability of the key elements of the rolling surface by 4 times and reduced expenses for its maintenance by 2 times,” it is said in the press-release.
