Ukraine reduced gas consumption by 16.6%

In January-September 2014, the Ukraine reduced gas consumption by 16.6% (by 5.758 bln cubic meters) to 28 bln 937.1 million cubic meters compared to the same period in 2013, the official web site of the Ministry of Energy and the Coal Industry states, Apostrophe writes.

Gas consumption decline in September made up 31.3% (by 729.7 mln cubic meters) to 1 billion 599.9 million cubic meters against the same month last year.

Gas consumption is down by 31.3% in July-August 2014 year-on-year. It is up to the plans of the Ukrainian government.

Gas imports to the country are down by 18.3% (by 3 bln 599.4 million cubic meters) to 16 billion 112.4 million cubic meters in Jan-September 2014 year-on-year.
