Zhigalovo district sets its hopes on the development of the Kovytkinskoye field

The Zhigalovo district of the Angara region sets its hopes on development of the Kovytkinskoye field. This is the first settlement, where gas from the Kovytkinskoye field will be supplied within the gas supply program in the Irkutsk region. The last stage of gas-distributing networks in Zhigalovo is being completed. Almost 400 houses can be connected with a gas pipeline already, the press centre of the regional Government reports on October, 28.

Issues of development of the Irkutsk region’s mineral resources base were considered at the meeting of the Irkutsk region’s Governor Sergei Eroshenko and the General Director of Gazprom geologirazvedka Alexei Davydov.
