Mechel has closed contracts for coal supplies from the Elga deposit in Yakutia to Asia for 1.5 or 2 years ahead, the director of Mechel-Mining UC P. Shtark says. The company will supply as well by 200,000 tons of coal concentrate annually for one of the Japanese largest steel smelting enterprises.
