Azerbaijan allocates 236.44 million mantas for construction of offshore drilling rig of new generation

Azerbaijan has allocated 236.440 million manats from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan for the construction of n offshore drilling rig of new generation, the Trend reports.

The project's cost is $1 116.7 million. The State Fund owns 90% of interest participation in Azerbaijan Rigs, created for the construction of the new platform. The remaining 10% of the company belong to SOCAR.

The first rig of the new generation will be built for the needs of SOCAR. The operator will be Caspian Drilling Company (CDC), 92.44% in which belong to SOCAR.
