Eduard Khudainatov gives way to a Frenchman – Eric Liron may take the place of the First Vice President of Rosneft

As  Kommersant has dicovered, Rosneft’s President, Igor Sechin has chosen a replacement  for his First Deputy ,Eduard Khudainatov, who left the company for his private business at the end of the last week. The position of the First Vice President will be taken by the Schlumberger man and ex-employee of BP-TNK, Eric Liron. The adviser to the Russian President Anton Ustinov was the second candidate for this position – he may become the company’s Vice President and Chief of the Igor Sechin’s apparatus.

On Friday, the First Vice President of Rosneft, Eduard Khudainatov officially left the company, sources, who are familiar with the situation, told Kommersant. According to them, the Rosneft’s President Igor Sechin has decided on the Khudainatov’s successor – the company’s Vice President Eric Liron will take this position. Besides, the adviser to the country’s President and ex-assistant of Igor Sechin in the Government Anton Ustinov may take the position of Rosneft’s Vice President and Chief of the apparatus. Rosneft confirmed to the Kommersant that “personal changes take place in the company”, but declined to comment in details. The phone of the Putin’s secretary Dmitry Peskov was not answere yesterday.
