Petkim signs contract on purchase and sale of raw materials from STAR refinery

The Turkish petrochemical company Petkim has signed an agreement for purchase and sale of raw materials from the STAR refinery, which is based in Izmir, the holding company reported.

According to the signed document, Petkim will buy 270 thousand tons of mixed xylenes and 1.6 million tons of naphtha per year from STAR for 20 years.

The terms of the agreement will allow Petkim to reduce the cost of the raw materials purchase by $30 per ton.
