Kazmunai Gas is going to hold geological exploration in the Mangistau region

Kazmunai Gas (KMG) is going to hold geological exploration in the Mangistau region in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea and onshore. They will hold geological exploration at the sea blocks of Zhenis, Okzhetpes, Ustyurt and I-P-2. They will be financed at the expense of the strategic partners. Geological exploration will also start at the blocks of Kansu and Zhazgurly. Financing will be performed at the expense of the funds of KMG.

They continue geological exploration at the sea blocks of N and Zhemchuzhina, and at the onshore blocks of Uzen and Zhetybay group. Within geological exploration and obtaining of the positive data, KMG is going to additionally get up to 10.9 million tons of oil by 2022 from the launch of the new deposits of Urikhtau and the sea blocks of N, Zhambyl and Zhemchuzhina.
