Gazprom will buy 3 million tons of Yamal gas annually over the next 20 years. The basis terms of the purchase were signed while the St. Petersburg International Forum. Novatek have now contracted by the transaction 80% of gas volume that will be produced by Yamal LNG project. The project presupposes the construction of a plant for LNG production with annual capacity of 16.5 million tons. The South Tambey deposit will be the resource base. Its proven and probable gas reserves will be 907 billion cubic m.
