The gas pipeline South Stream to reach the border with Serbia at the earliest in late 2016.

The company will build the main gas transit pipeline from the Black Sea – to the border with the Republic of Serbia 541 km long, 362 km looping, with gas lateral length of 59 km to the gas distribution unit in Varna and the node itself (to transfer the gas into the existing Bulgarian pipeline system for the consumers from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and Macedonia), the receiving terminal Pasha Dere, 3 compressor stations (CS Varna, CS Lozen, CS Rasovo with the total capacity of 300 MW) under the contract.

The pipes with a diameter of 1422 mm (56-in) will be used for the construction of the pipeline.

The completion of the receiving terminal, the gas pipeline branch, URG and the auxiliary systems for CS Varna construction is scheduled for late 2015

The construction of the transit gas pipeline and 3 compressor stations will be completed by the end of 2016. The gas pipeline looping is planned to be build by 2017.
