KMG to intend to carry out supplementary exploration of the Uzen deposit

On Monday, the KazMunaiGaz’s CEO Lyazzat Kiinov reported that KMG intended to carry out supplementary exploration of the Uzen deposit in the Mangistau region.

The oil and gas field Uzen was discovered in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan in 1961. Deposits are located at the depth of 0.9-2.4 km; oil yield is 10-81 tons per day. Gas yield is 8.0-230 thousand cubic meters per day. Oil reserves make up 1.1 billion tons. The production centre is Zhanaozen.
