R. Khamitov: there are no good suggestions concerning Bashneft as yet

​We haven’t received any good suggestion on the sale of Bashneft’s package as yet, the head of Bashkiria, R. Khamitov said.

Tatneftegas was reported to be interested in the package of shares of Bashneft. This interest was confirmed by the Minister of Economic Development of Russia, A. Ulyukaev.

The CEO of Tatneftegas, S. Bakhir, suggested transferring the state package of Bashneft – 75.08% plus 1 share – for 10 years to the company.

If the deal is approved, Rosimuschestvo (50.08%) and Bashkiria (25% plus 1 share) will receive $4 bln and $2 bln respectively.

Previously the Ministry of Economy suggested selling only 25% plus 1 share of Bashneft’s state package. The sale of the entire state package was said to be possible but the current decision is  not final, the stake to be sold might change.

Lukoil announced of its interest in Bashneft, but it needs the control over the company.
