Acid residue hydrocracking unit costing 90 billion rubles may be launched at Kstovo refinery in 2018

The construction of a heavy still bottoms (acid residue) hydrocracking unit at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintex (Kstovo, the Nizhny Novgorod region), which will allow the plant to increase the depth of oil processing to 87%, is planned to be completed in 2018, regional Minister of Industry and Innovations Vladimir Nefedov reported to journalists.

“A project on the construction of an acid residue hydrocracking unit, aimed at the deep processing of oil, is implemented at the enterprise. And in 2018, the depth of the oil processing should be 87%. The amount of investments into the project make up 90 billion rubles,” – Nefedov said.
