Parliament of Bashkiria has declined the protests of Prosecutor’s Office

The delegates of the State Assembly of Bashkiria yesterday declined the protests of the Prosecutor’s Office which demanded to cancel the decisions of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Bashkir Soviet Socialist Republic as of 1991-1992 on the privatization of the enterprises of the Bashkir Fuel and Energy sector and providing the economic basis of the Republic’s sovereignty. However, the Parliament of Bashkiria, contrary to the requirements of the General Prosecutor’s Office, thought that the orders were made in conformity with the existing at that moment federal legislation. Experts think that the decision of the Bashkiria Parliament won’t have an impact on the decision on the transfer of Bashneft’s shares to the federal property.
