Novak supports new tax for fields

The Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has supported the idea of ​​the Ministry of Finance on the introduction of an added revenue tax for oil companies. It is assumed that the tax will be charged primarily from new fields.

As the RIA Novosti report, referring reference to Alexander Novak, the new tax system in the industry will be worked out in 2016, and will start acting not earlier than in 2017. According to the head of the Ministry of Energy, at such timing the changes to the legislation should be made now.

The idea of ​​the new tax system for the oil industry has been discussed for a long time. On October 27, the Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that he considered it necessary to introduce the added revenue tax after 2016.
