MMK reduced loading of capacities by 10% due to demand fall

MMK Group on the results of 9 months 2014 increased steel production by 10.3% to 9.959 mln tons, however, in Q3 there was a steel production fall by 0.3% against Q2, of saleable products – by 3%.

MMK feels the demand fall for its products due to which the loading of capacities was reduced by about 10%, company’s financial director, S. Sulimov, said.

“We feel a demand fall. The loading of capacities fell to 900 thousand tons from 1 mln tons”, the interlocutor of the agency said explaining that there is a seasonal effect added to the complicated economic situation in the country.
