Oil extraction in the Arctic can become profitable for Russia only in the conditions of the reduction of taxes

Taking into account the high costs of the development of the deposits and oil extraction at the Arctic shelf, these projects can be profitable only in the conditions of the reduction of the taxes for the oil extraction companies.

The problem of correlation of the potential profit and high level of expenditures will most likely sharpen in the RF characterized with strong state policy in the sphere of the development of natural resources at virgin Arctic borders of the country.
