The Ukraine to negotiate with Russia on decrease of Russian gas purchase to 14 billion cubic meters

The Ukraine negotiates with Russia on a decrease of Russian gas purchase to 14 billion cubic meters, the Minister of Energy and the Coal Industry Eduard Stavitsky reported to journalists today.

“We constantly negotiate with Russia on this issue. We solve the issues concerning Russian offer to increase volumes. I have said in interview that we need just 14 billion cubic meters, even with very low temperatures, like in 2011. And the Russian party insists on 18-19 billion – so we negotiate on this…by the way, today Bakulin is in Russia and negotiates on this,” – Stavitsky said.
