The terminal is used by Bashneft as well as Lukoil, the operator of the port. In 2013, oil exports from the port of Varandey will double. Oil transshipment via the terminal to the coast of the Pechora Sea will increase by 48,000 barrels a day to 112,000 barrels a day.
Lukoil will dispatch from Varandey 5 million tons of own oil, 4 million tons from Kharyaga and 1 million tons from the resources of Naryanmarneftegaz. Another batch of 300,000 tons will be dispatched from Trebs, production has been started there this month by Bashneft and Lukoil. The planned production is there 1 million tons in 2014, and 1.5 million tons in 2015.
