A new high-rate well launched at the Guneshli deposit

The State oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has launched a new well at shallow water of the marine deposit Guneshli.
As 1news.az transmits, referring to the company, the well was drilled from the marine stationary platform №11. The depth of the well is 3800 meters. The daily debit of the well makes up 200 thousand cubic meters of gas and 20 tons of oil.
The drilling was carried out by the marine joint venture SOCAR AQS by order of oil-and-gas production department on May, 28.
The development of the shallow part of the Guneshli deposit is carried out from 1980. The deposit provides for up to 65% of the all oil production of SOCAR.
