Gazprom is not licensed to pump gas by Turkish Stream

Gazprom hasn’t addressed the Agency for Regulation of the Energy Market of Turkey for license issue for gas pumping by Turkish Stream.

Without the license of this Agency the sale of oil and gas on the territory of the country as well as the transportation of hydrocarbons via its territory is impossible.

The first branch of the Turkish Stream from Russia to the west of Turkey is to be launched in late 2016. It will aim for gas supply to the west of Turkey instead of the Ukrainian transit. Another 3 branches are meant for the replacement of gas supply to the Central and Southern Europe instead of the Ukrainian transit.
