Ukrainian Government to make metallurgical companies buy domestic coal

On Wednesday, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and the Coal Industry will hold a meeting with representatives of metallurgical enterprises, during which it plans to discuss supply of coking coal, mined by Ukrainian state-owned mines, to Ukrainian steel metallurgical plants, the general director of Ukrkoks Anatoly Starovoit reported.

According to him, the Ukrainian government is faced with the fact that the state mines accumulate a large volume of coal and thesteel companies refuse to buy it.
