Eastern-Paiduginsky mega-downfold can be perspective for hydrocarbons

The Kama scientific research institute for the complex exploration of deep and super-deep wells (KamNIIKIGS) completes the laboratory and analytic research of the rock at the Eastern-Paiduginsky parametric well #1 located in the Kolpashevsky district of the Tomsk region. They have explored 177 of the planned 260 samples gathered at depth of 800.05 – 3,299.98 m. The director of the petrophysic laboratory of the institution, V. Savinov says that they have discovered 2 large natural reservoirs in the prospected structure that could be potential oil and gas deposits.
