The optimism of "Yamal LNG" thickens.

Chinese banks are willing to give loans to the project.

The shareholders of "Yamal LNG" Novatek, CNPC and Total, which planned to attract project finance year ago, one by one express confidence in obtaining $ 12 billion from Chinese banks in the coming months. Yesterday CFO Total Patrick de la Shevarde even admitted that the agreement could be signed this week. European banks are not involved in financing due to the Western sanctions. Obtaining loans will allow Novatek to send funds from its cash flow for the preparation of a second LNG project at Gydane.
