Ukraine plans to raise price on the transit of gas from Russia

The Ukraine has started negotiations with Russia on an increase of the Russian gas transit cost. S.Sobolev, the interim chairman of Batkivshchyna group said on March 27.
“The gas prices comply with the world’s standards, while the tariffs do not. So, they can not dictate terms to us because of gas prices. The negotiations have already started and we have informed about the necessity to raise tariffs,” a politician said. He added that the current bilateral agreement allow to reconsider transit cost.
