Naftogaz increases import of gas from Russia

In expectation of growing prices of Russian gas, Naftogaz Ukrainy increases its import to receive as much “blue fuel” in the period of the discount, as possible, the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector reports.

In particular, on March 26th the volume of imported gas made up 97.1 million cubic meters. The rate was higher only in early February, during the cold weather. In the first ten-day period of March, Kiev imported 40 million cubic meters of gas per day, in the second period – 60 million cubic meters. In March 1-26, the Ukraine imported 1.46 billion cubic meters of gas. For comparison, 1.64 billion cubic meters were imported in February.
