Kazakh companies to take part in the expansion of the project at the "Tengiz" field - Deputy Minister.

Kazakh companies will take part in the future expansion of the project in the "Tengiz" field as local partners, Magzum Mirzagaliev, the Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan, told Trend.

"The future "Tengiz" expansion project offers a number of opportunities for domestic businesses today. Thus, it becomes possible to enter large-scale projects as the local partner of LLP "Tengizchevroil", - he stated.

The Deputy Minister noted that in 2013 a memorandum of understanding between the Government of Kazakhstan and "Tengizchevroil" was signed. One of the key recommendations in the document was the operator’s recommendations to the foreign contractors on the localization of production and the creation of joint ventures with the Kazakh partners.
