Tatneft to use hydraulic fracturing of formation with a view to shale oil

Tatneft considers multi-stage hydraulic fracturing in extensive horizontal hole as a further development of horizontal drilling technology. This will allow it to increase filtration area many times.
In December of 2012, the construction of such experimental well with the carrying out of multi-stage interval frac was started. The most modern technologies and equipment will be tested at this well with the participation of the American oil services company Halliburton. In future, Tatneft maps out to carry out such hydraulic fracturing of formation by its own.
